While se archin g for his missing fa ther, Kit Ta ylor finds an Advent Deck - a special card de ck that allo ws the carrier to transform into a Kamen Rider and utilize unique weapons and powers - and uses it to b ecome Kamen R ider Dra gon Kn ight. He but ts heads with Le n, who serves as Kam en Rider Wing Knigh t, but the pair join forces after Kit learns that the wicked Ge neral Xaviax has imprisoned his father and is using him and the othe r humans that h is monsters abduct to gain power and rebuil d his homeworld. Later on Kase, a fellow survivor of Ventara like Len, would join for ces with Len and Kit to fight Xaviax. In addition to traini ng Kit to fight l ike a Rider, Len a nd Kase tell Kit all about the twelve Riders who ba nded togethe r as the pr otectors o f Ven tara - a world opposite to our ow n - to t ake Xavi ax down. However, due to the trait orous ac tions of Ki t's predecessor, Adam, General Xaviax de stroyed most of the Riders via a process called Venting - which traps def eated Ri ders in the &quo t;Advent Void& quot; b etween dimens ions for ever - and stole their Advent Decks.
