While sea rching for his missing father, Kit Taylo r find s an Advent Deck - a special ca rd deck that allows the carrier to transform into a Kamen Ride r and u tili ze unique weapon s and powers - and u ses it to bec ome Kamen R ider Dr agon Knight. He bu tts heads with Len, who s erves as Kamen Rider Wing Knight, but the pair join forces after Kit lea rns that the wic ked General Xavi ax has imprisoned his father and is usin g him and the other h umans that his mon sters abduct to gain pow er and rebuild his homeworld. Lat er on Kase, a fellow survivor of Vent ara lik e Len, would join forces with Len and Kit to fight Xaviax. In addition to training Ki t to fight lik e a Ride r, Len and Kase tell Kit all ab out the twelve Rider s who banded together as the protec tors o f Ventara - a w orld oppos ite to our own - to take Xaviax down. However , du e to the traitorous actions of Kit's p redecessor , Adam, G eneral Xaviax dest royed most of the Ride rs via a proce ss called Venting - whi ch traps defeated Riders in t he "Advent V oid" between d imensions forever - and stole their Advent Decks .
