Ra chel is completely against the idea of leaving NYC but loses the argum ent to her boss. So Rachel packs her bags and flies out to California. During her first visit to the library she runs into writer, Jake (De rek Theler), who is researchin g the tale of Captain Black Bart's hidd en treasures for his next novel. With h opes of saving the libr ary, Mrs. A rcher (Rachel Ti cotin), t he libra rian, push es Jake to sh ow Rachel what the libr ary me ans to the town. Jake's alr eady got a lot on his pla te with his research and taking care of hi s niece, Hailey (Chiara Aurelia), and nephew, Noah (Max Page), for the su mmer but he agrees to help out.
