Rachel is comp letely again st the idea of leavi ng NYC but loses the argume nt to her boss. So Rachel packs her bags and flies out to California. During h er first vis it to the lib rary she r uns into writer, Jake (Derek Theler) , who is rese archi ng the tale of Cap tain Blac k Bart's hidden treasures for his n ext novel. W ith hopes o f saving the l ibra ry, Mrs. Arc her (Rachel Ticotin), the librarian, pushes Jake to show Rachel what the library mea ns to the town. Jake's already got a lot on his plat e with his researc h and taki ng ca re of his n iece, Hailey (Ch iara Au relia ), and ne phew, Noah (Max Page), for the s ummer but he agr ees to he lp out. As Rachel learns what t he libra ry means to the community she must find awa y to save it befo re it's too l ate.
