This Frenc h family film is f illed with a ction, anim als, adventure, an d suspense. The story is told from a child' s viewpoint. One day, while pl aying in his se cret tree house in the forest, 11-year old Anto ine sp ies upon bank robbe rs stashing 4 0-million fran cs worth of loot. On e of the robbers is th e father o f his ne west best friend Lisa, a 10-year old Canadian visitor. Not wanting to rat on her father, An toine instead moves the money to a different spot. N either he, n or Lisa have a l ot of resp ect for t heir f requentl y absent fat hers. They find adults to be inherently hypocritical. Both kids do share a love of animals though. Together, they decide to run away t o Biarritz, a resort town, and start spend ing a little money . The thieves are l ivid when they discover thei r stash is missing, partic ularly Max, and they try, unsuccessf ully to catch t he k ids.
