Filming has begun o n the four th series of popular Bath- based detect ive drama M cDonald Dodds, starring Tala Gouveia and BAFTA awar d-winner Jason Watkins . Compr ising thre e feature length films (3 x120), the guest cast for the firs t story include s Toby St ephens (Lo st In Space), sin gersongwriter Pixie Lott (Th e Voice Ki ds), Lydia Leonard (Gentleman Jack), Daniel Lapaine (Catastrophe), Dipo O la (Landscap ers), John Gordon Sinclair (Greg ory’s Girl) and Ace B hatti ( Line of D uty). In this first film, Mc Donald and Dodds begin to investigate when a middle-aged woman is found shot dead i n a rented flat. The killer has removed all clues to her identity, but DNA reveals she we nt missing over 35 years ag o. Where has she been all those years And who with Returning to th e cast thi s series are Claire Skinner ( Outnumbered) who plays Chief Super intendent Ormond and Charlie Chambers (EastEnders) who plays DC Goldie. Bhavik C. Pankh ania ( World On Fire) joins the line up as DC Lee. The seri es has been commis sioned for ITV b y Polly H ill and Huw Kenn air Jones and wi ll be produced by Joe Shrubb .
