Filming has begun on the fourth seri es of popular Bath- based de tective d rama McDonal d Dod ds, starring Ta la Gouveia and BAFTA aw ard-winner Jaso n Watkins. Comprising three feature len gth films (3 x120), t he gue st cast for the first story incl udes To by Stephens (L ost I n Space), singer songwriter Pixie Lott (T he Voice Kid s), Lydia Leonard (Gen tleman Jack) , Da niel Lapaine (Catas trophe), Di po Ola (Landscapers), John Gordon Sinclair (Gre gory’s Girl) and Ace Bhatti ( Line of D uty) . In this first film, McDonald and Dodds begin to investigate when a middle-a ged woman is fou nd shot dead in a rented f lat. The k iller has removed all clues to her identity, but DNA re veals she we nt m issing over 35 years ago. Where has she been a ll those years And who wit h Return ing to the c ast this ser ies are C laire Skinner (Outnumbered) who p lays Chief S uperintendent Ormond and Cha rlie Chambers (Eas tEnders) who plays DC Goldie. Bhavik C. Pankh ania (World O n Fire) joins the line up as D C Lee. The series has been commi ssion ed fo r ITV by Polly Hi ll and Huw Kenna ir Jo nes and wil l be p roduced by Joe Shrubb.
