At first glance, you see a happy middle -class family going through the norm al paces of everyday life. However, as the layers are slowly peel ed back, we f ind a simmering cauldron of disc ontent wi thin the family, w ith almost eve ry fam ily member living a lie. Both mar riages in the famil y turn ou t to be emotionally empty, without love or passi on. While Ashok is an asc etic who has ta ken a vow of cel ibacy, Jatin is a ha ndsome lad ies' man who is still openly se eing Ju lie even after his marria ge to Sita. Asho k ha s pledged his total devotion to a r eligious holy man, a swami, in order to purge his life of worldly desires and temptations. Radha , bou nd by her se nse of du ty to her hu sband, agre es to go along with his wishes. As you can ima gine, wi th both husbands ignoring their spouses' emotiona l and sexual needs (albe it wi th rea sons that a re t otally op posite from ea ch other), it is only a matter o f time befor e Radha and Sita look to one another for comfort and to s atisf y their own passions.
