In 1860, cran ky old miser Ebenezer Scrooge hate s Christmas; loathes people and defen ds the decrease of the surplus of poor popul ation ; runs his bank exploiting his employee Bob Cratchit and client s, g iving a bitter treatment to his own nephew and acquaintances. However, on Christmas Eve, he is visited by the doomed ghost of his former par tner Jacob Marley th at tells him that three spirits would visit him that night. The fir st o ne, the s pirit of Christ mas Past, recalls his miserab le youth when he lost his only love due to his gr eed; the spirit of Chri stmas P resent shows him the poor situati on of Bob's family and ho w joyful life may be; and t he sp irit of C hristma s Futu re sh ows hi s fate. Scrooge f inds that life is good a nd time is too short and sudd enly you are n ot there anymore, changing his beha vior toward Christmas, Bob, hi s nephew and people in general.
