The film tells the story of s ingle mo ther “Kara” (Eli zabeth Roberts) who m oves fr om New York to the quiet co untryside with her two chi ldren for a job opportu nity she ca n’t afford to turn do wn. The family m oves into their humble ne w guesthouse. Kara begins her work as a pr ivate nurse to “Walter,” (Bruc e Davison) a man stricken with multiple sclerosis a nd an appra iser of rare ant iqui ties with a secretive past.
